Frequently Asked Questions

How do you make a blondie?

They have the delicious flavors of butter and brown sugar, topped off with chocolate M&M's for a delicious blondie. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray a 9 x 13 inch pan with non stick cooking spray. In a medium sized bowl combine the butter, brown sugar, and sugar and mix until combined.

How do you know when blondies are done baking?

Like most baked goods, you can test blondies for doneness by inserting a cake tester or toothpick into them. If it comes out clean, the blondies are ready. Try topping your blondies with chocolate or mint-chip ice cream; drizzling them with fudge sauce; or garnishing them with whipped cream, chopped nuts, cherries or chocolate kisses.

How long do you cook blondies in the oven?

Bake until the top is a light golden brown, 20 to 25 minutes, being careful not to overbake. Let cool on a wire rack. Remove the blondies from the pan and transfer to a cutting board. Cut into rectangles, sprinkle with flaky salt and serve.

Do you cream or melt the butter when making blondies?

I much prefer melting the butter to creaming my butter and sugar when making blondies and cookies for this very reason (I do the same thing with my chocolate chip cookies ). The extra egg yolk and the cornstarch are also key ingredients for making these blondies soft and chewy.
