If you do not have a strainer, use an immersion blender, food processor, or high speed blender to puree the liquid. *Be sure to work in batches if using a food process or blender and do not fill the container more than half full.
4. Return the liquid back into a large stockpot and add the remaining ingredients. Bring to a boil, and let simmer for 10 minutes.
