Does pot barley have to soak overnight?

You don’t have to soak barley before cooking it to prepare a batch of delicious fluffy barley. In fact, I prefer barley that was cooked from dry because it’s chewier. However, many people still prefer to presoak barley to make it easier to digest. If you soak barley overnight, keep in mind that it will absorb some of the water, so you will need less liquid to cook it.
