1. Try our favorite and most-requested rice pudding recipe — our Classic Minute Rice Pudding. Creamy and sweet, everyone will want to indulge in this dessert. For a classic flavor, make sure to use our Minute® Instant White Rice. Step 1--Combine milk, rice, raisins, sugar and salt in a medium saucepan. On medium-high heat, bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Reduce heat to medium-low; simmer for 6 minutes, stirring occasionally. Step 2
2. Beat eggs and vanilla together in a small bowl. Stir a small amount of hot mixture into eggs. Step 3
3. Stirring constantly, slowly pour egg mixture back into the hot mixture. Stirring constantly, cook on low heat for 1 minute, until thickened. DO NOT BOIL. Step 4
4. Remove from heat. Let stand for 30 minutes. Serve warm. Store any remaining pudding in the refrigerator, covered with plastic wrap. Recipe Tips Create flavorful new varieties of rice pudding by replacing the raisins with different types of fresh or dried fruits, such as dried cherries, dried apricots, chopped pineapple, peaches or dried, sweetened cranberries. To make this dish vegan, simply substitute the milk with your choice of plant-based milk, like almond or coconut, and leave out the eggs. Note that if the eggs are left out, you may need to cook the pudding over the heat for a minute or two extra, to help it thicken. It will also thicken up once cooled in the refrigerator.

1. Bring the water to a boil. Pour 1 cup (237 ml) of water into a medium pot, and place it on the stove over high heat. Allow the water to come to a full boil, which should take approximately 5 minutes. A 2-quart (1.9 l) pot is usually a good size for 1 cup (200 g) of rice. If you prefer, you can substitute chicken or vegetable stock for the water to give the rice added flavor.
2. Stir in the rice. Once the rice has reached a boil, add 1 cup (200 g) instant white rice to the pot. Mix well to ensure that the rice is thoroughly moistened. If you like, you can also add a tablespoon (14 g) of butter or margarine and salt to taste to the pot when you mix in the rice.
3. Cover the pot and remove it from the heat. When the rice is mixed with the boiling water, place the lid on the pot. Take it off the heat, and place it on a heatproof surface.
4. Let the rice sit for several minutes. Once it’s off the heat, allow the rice to steep in the boiling water for about 5 minutes. The rice should fully absorb the water, so it may take a couple of minutes longer. Don’t take the lid off the pot before the rice has sat for at least 5 minutes. You want to keep the steam trapped inside.

1. Rinse the rice very well with cool water until the water runs clear; drain. Note: This could take about 5 minutes, but don't skip this step! Rinsing removes a lot of the starch from the exterior of the rice, which is key to getting fluffy, not-sticky rice.
2. Add the rice to the Instant Pot along with the cold water, the butter, and the salt. Give the pot a gentle shake just to make sure that all of the rice is covered by water.
3. Place the lid on the Instant Pot and set the steam release knob to "sealing."
4. Press the RICE button. The Instant Pot will say "Auto" at first while it automatically determines the cooking time based on the weight of the rice and water you have put in the pot (which usually ends up to be 12 minutes at low pressure). Note: It will take about 6 minutes for the Instant Pot to come up to pressure before the cooking time begins to count down.
