One Layer Chocolate Cake Recipe

Beat with an electric mixer on low speed for 2 minutes. Add egg and beat 2 minutes more. Pour into a greased and floured 9 x 1 1/2 inch round baking pan. Bake in a 350 degree oven for 30 to 35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean. Cool on a rack for 10 minutes. Remove from pan. Cool thoroughly on a rack. Serves 8.
