1. Wash the lemons thoroughly in warm water, remove the stalks. Cut each lemon in half and squeeze out the juice. Remove the seeds and cut away pulp and excess pith. Tie the pulp, pith and seeds loosely in a muslin bag (actually I use a clean Jay-cloth towelette). Slice the skins into matchstick strips and place these in the cooking pan with the juice, and add water until lemon matchsticks are just covered. Tuck the muslin bag into the pot, bring to the boil and simmer until the strips of lemon skin are very tender. Remove the muslin bag and squeeze out any liquid.
2. Add the Splenda and bring to the boil until it is fully dissolved. Take off the heat and let cool slightly. Taste for sweetness (carefully - this is hot) and add more Splenda to taste. Dissolve the gelatine in a little hot water, and stir thoroughly into the marmalade mixture. Pour into hot clean jars and seal. Store, when cool in the refrigerator.

2. Peel the oranges and remove the white pith and tough membranes. Segment or finely chop the fruit. If segmenting the oranges, opt for seven oranges. If you choose to chop the oranges, six should be enough.

How To Make No Sugar Added Plum Marmalade Norbert's Kitchen

7 hours ago Cooking sugar-free plum marmalade: Making no sugar-added plum marmalade is quite simple. I think the biggest challenge is having the patience to wait until Italian plums are in season and to find the sweetest, softest, ripest plums. All fruits contain natural sugar, so I don’t see a reason to add additional granulated sugar to my jam.

1. Cut the oranges into thin slices. Remove the pips and tie them in a muslin bag. Place the orange slices in a preserving pan with the apple juice and the pips. Bring to the boil then simmer very gently for 30-40 minutes, or until the orange peel can be pierced easily with a fork. The mixture will be very thick, with little liquid.
2. Add the jam sugar and stir over a low heat until it has completely dissolved, about 5 minutes. Bring to a good rolling boil then bubble for 4 minutes. Take the pan off the heat and skim any scum from the surface. (To dissolve any excess scum, drop a small knob of butter on to the surface, and gently stir.)

Place lids in water in a small pan, bring to a low simmer, and hold there until ready to use.
3. Remove skins from tomatoes. To do this, heat a pot of water to boiling, place tomatoes in boiling water–just a couple of tomatoes at time–for 30 to 60 seconds, or until the skin spits. Remove tomatoes from boiling water and immediately submerge them in a large bowl of ice water. The skins will slip right off. If the skin did not split during this blanching process (which occasionally happens), simply nick the skin with a paring knife and peel the skin off. Discard the skins.
4. Slice tomatoes in half, then remove and discard the cores. Dice the tomatoes. Place the diced tomatoes in a colander or strainer, and place the colander or strainer in or over a large bowl. Set aside, and allow the tomatoes to drain into the bowl while you’re working on the next steps.

3. Peel off all remaining outer white parts of the fruit and discard. Cut the grapefruits into wheels. Remove any seeds.
4. Put grapefruit wheels and zest strips into a non-reactive saucepan. Add sugar and stir well to cover fruit. Heat over medium-high heat until bubbling, mixing constantly. Smash the heated fruit until it liquefies. Reduce heat to low and cook over a steady boil, stirring often. Remove and discard any persistent white froth that won't disappear after being stirred. 1. Use a vegetable peeler to remove a thin layer of the orange rind off the oranges. Use a sharp knife to julienne the rind and create matchstick pieces. If the pieces of rind are really long, cut them in half so that they're no longer than around 2 1/2 inches in length.
2. Now, use the knife to remove the thick white part from the actual oranges, tossing the white parts in the trash. You only want to keep the fleshy orange part of the fruit. Look for the faint white segment lines along the orange, and cut along those lines to divide the whole oranges into individual slices. After you cut the oranges into slices, discard any thick white stem parts (the core of the orange) that may have been stuck to the inside of the slices. Temporarily put the orange slices aside.
3. Fill a medium saucepan with 2 cups of water and bring to a boil over high heat. Once boiling, add the julienned orange rind and continue boiling over medium high heat for 10 minutes. Drain the water from the saucepan, then fill the saucepan with 2 cups of water again (keeping the orange rind in the saucepan). Place the saucepan over the stove over high heat and set the timer for 10 minutes (it's okay that it hasn't begun to boil yet when you start the time). One last time, drain the water from the saucepan and then fill with 2 cups water, place over high heat, and set the timer for 10 minutes.
4. Drain the water from the saucepan and now, to the rind in the saucepan, add the orange slices, the sugar, the lemon juice, and 2 cups of water. Bring the mixture to a boil over high heat. After about 6 minutes, the contents of the pot should be boiling. Reduce the heat to medium-low so that the mixture is simmering.

1. So first things first. Wash your oranges in hot water. No one likes dirty fruit. Dry them off and prepare yourself a workspace with the following. A large chopping board, a box grater, a sharp knife, a blender and a big pot.
2. Add 600g raw sugar and 200ml pure grapefruit juice to your pot.
3. Grate the rind off all the oranges. Nice thick bits of rind are just the best ever in marmalade. Then add the rind into the pot too.
4. Step 3 – Use a sharp knife to remove the pith, or the whites, of the oranges. Don’t be pedantic here, just roughly remove what you can. Dispose of the pith.
