Ultimate Chewy Blondie Recipe Food.com

7 hours ago It's like a chewy fudge brownie, minus the chocolate. I tried several blonde recipes, but none of them came close to what I want. So I found a wonderful brownie recipe, and played around with substitutions until I think I found the perfect combination of ingredients. I usually make these for guys, and cut a 10 pan into 9 --3 square blondies

Working with a standard recipe from my research—a 1:1 ratio of sugar to flour, salt, baking powder, a couple of eggs, vanilla extract, and one stick of melted butter—I ran a quick side-by-side test.

1. Preheat the oven to 350°F degrees. Line an 8-inch square baking pan with an 8x11-inch piece of parchment paper, leaving a 2-inch overhang on two sides. You'll have to create seams in the corners and along the edges of the pan to get it to stay put (you can always add a few dots of butter underneath if necessary).
2. In a large bowl of an electric mixer, beat the melted butter with the brown sugar and granulated sugar until well combined, about 2 minutes. Beat in the egg and vanilla. On low speed, mix in the flour and salt until just blended. Stir in the chocolate chips and nuts. Transfer the batter to the prepared pan and spread evenly with a rubber spatula.
3. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes, until the top is set and lightly golden. Set the pan on a wire rack to cool. Using the parchment overhang, lift the blondie "cake" from the pan and transfer it to a cutting board; cut into 16 squares. Store the blondies in an airtight container at room temperature or freeze for longer storage.
4. Freezer-Friendly Instructions: The blondies can be frozen for up to 3 months. After they are completely cooled, double-wrap them securely with aluminum foil or plastic freezer wrap. Thaw overnight on the countertop before serving.

Brunettes, or The Ultimate Blondie Recipe My Kitchen Little

Just Now These “Brunettes,” adapted a bit from an old Bobby Flay recipe, are really the best blondies I’ve ever had – the ultimate blondie recipe – and therefore seemed worthy of a standout title. They’re darker, richer, MORE than your typical blondie

Estimated Reading Time: 7 mins
1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F. Adjust your rack to the middle position. Grease/spray a 9 X 9-inch square baking pan and line with a parchment sling (place a piece of parchment paper in the pan, leaving at least a 2-inch overhang so you can easily remove the brunettes when they’re cool.
2. Add the butter to a saucepan over medium heat and melt the butter. Once the butter has fully melted, to get it brown, allow it to keep cooking, swirling it around occasionally until it begins to turn a golden color and you can smell it; about 3 to 4 minutes. Reduce the heat to low and add the sugar. Stir and keep cooking gently until the sugar has melted into the butter. Allow to cool for 20 minutes. Add the vanilla and the eggs.
3. Meanwhile, in a medium or large bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt. Whisk to thoroughly mix. Pour the butter/sugar mixture into the bowl with the dry ingredients and stir with a wooden spoon to combine. Fold in the toffee bits and chocolate.
4. Transfer the mixture to your prepared pan and bake for 22 to 26 minutes or until slightly crackled on the top. Allow the Blondies to cool completely before removing from the pan. Cut into 2-inch squares or, for two-bite Blondies, 1-inch squares.
